Importance of Third Spaces
Identifying a need, organizing, and providing a community for peers. Graduate school at a respected institution carries pressure of work and diligence to research. Siloed in a student’s work stream, isolation and unhealthy habits effect the work and the student negatively. We all share the love for design therefore decided to create outlets to be together and have more fun.

Annual Friends-giving Potluck
Creative Play
A bimonthly meet-up to improve sketchcraft, share ideas and happy hour. Every other week with paper and pens, I would coordinate meeting at a local restaurant to eat, drink, draw, and socialize. A welcoming environment with both familiar faces and newcomers made it easier to meet new people and participate in the broader community. At its core, 'Drawing with Drinks' embodies the idea of practicing art through play.
